Kyrgyz elections

Kyrgyztan's presidential elections were Thursday, July 23rd. The results are in, and the incumbent, Bakiev, will remain as president. There have been allegations of wide-spread ballot stuffing, vote buying, vote counting irregularities, voter intimidation and election monitor intimidation. They will also, surely, slow down any return to day-to-day operations in the government and further delay any action on the part of decision makers to move adoptions forward. Now we will wait...and wait some more.
