News...Just not baby news
I got a letter in the mail the other day from the campus I am attending. In early April I applied for several scholarships without even giving it a second thought. Lo and behold...I've received two scholarships totaling $1,000. This helps to ensure that I can attend at least one class each of the next two semesters...so awesome! At this point I can't take any more classes than that because of my work schedule. At some point here, I should be able to transfer to UW-Superior and then I can take the majority of my classes through their education program on-line.
I have been running with a group of girls lately, and every day we send out a mass email to see who can run, and when. In yesterday's email, we were challenged to the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon! It will be the first marathon for all of us, but one. We all signed up - talk about making quick decisions! At least I'll have running to take my mind off all the baby waiting we'll be doing.
Speaking of baby...I started to paint Oozi's room yesterday. I went back and forth on colors and I'm still not totally convinced, although it is a pretty cool color. I went with middlebury brown for the wall colors and then I am planning some kind of accents with rosemary green, blue spa, and alpine white. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to make that work!
Here is a link to an interesting New York Times article on life in Kyrgyzstan with some amazing pictures.
