Bishkek

We arrived at the Bishkek airport at 5:25 a.m. (Bishkek time). We are so off on our time and had such a long layover in Turkey. We thought we had it down, but then we had to go ahead 4 more hours for Bishkek time :) Our room wasn't ready when we got here, so we had breakfast in the lobby and waited.


We got a call from our driver 5 minutes before he was suppose to pick us up and said that we could not go to the orphanage. As you can imagine I was very disappointed. He said that instead, we can go at 4. We arrived a bit early and had to wait in the car. When we went in, we went right to Donna's child's room door. After about 10 minutes she was allowed to go in by him. I was brought to A's room and his caregiver gave me the once over before handing him over to me. I was then brought to a strange room and was left alone with him. It was all very strange, but so nice to have alone time! Tomorrow we will not be able to go until 5, and probably won't be allowed to stay very long. I'm glad to get any time with him, just wish it were more...
